Post 22 player Cooper Bowman drafted to the big-leagues by the NY Yankees.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - The New York Yankees have selected a Rapid City baseball player for their fourth pick in this year’s MLB draft.

Second baseman Cooper Bowman was tapped Monday to play for the New York team.

The Yankees picked Bowman after his short stint at the University of Louisville, where he was a sophomore. In Louisville, the infielder had a .293 average. Bowman also played two seasons at Iowa Western Community College, hitting .418 with 115 runs scored.
